Dr Leon Williams

Doctorate from the RCA 

Dr. Williams, PhD is a graduate from the Royal College of Art with a keen interest in digital technologies. He developed bespoke medical products using Rapid Innovation. He has a novel approach to developing new processes (even building the machines) to make his design practical for mass production and his research unique.

His experience extends to developing rapid innovation labs, including the setup of a new prestige product learning lab within the Centre.

Dr. Williams engineering career has progressed strongly as a design for manufacture consultant for numerous fast moving consumer goods companies in the UK and Europe.

He has lectured at leading UK design Universities, presented papers at prestigious centres of excellence and globally acclaimed exhibitions, such as the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, London; Universidade do Porto, Portugal; V&A Museum, London; The Dana Centre, Science Museum and Design London.

Recent accolades include the invention of a new slim-line steroid/long-acting Beta2 agonist combination Inhaler; awards from the Helen Hamlyn Foundation (2002); Mobility Choice (2003); Nichole Stober (2004); Design for our Future Selves (2004); and Theo Fernell (2008).
