Overview

Developing state of the art research through exploring the synergies within creative, commercial and technological design-led innovation practice.

C4Ds research agenda, at a fundamental level, allies to the objectives outlined in the Cox Review 2005 to help embed design-led innovation thinking in commercial and educational practice. Our research programmes support this objective and forms the framework of an iterative relationship of investigation and support with C4Ds other activities.

The research framework follows 4 key agendas that form a core set of themes within which individual projects are undertaken and inform other research practice.

C4D operates at an educational, research and commercial level, integrating Masters Programmes, PhD Research and Industrial Services to synergise the learning and development possibilities that can be gained from exploring the crossover areas between, creativity, management, engineering/science and business practice. Its core agenda is to embed state of the art, design-led innovation thinking into current educational, research and commercial practice in order to facilitate the opportunities that exist in positive, sustainable, innovation.
